NBT is highly aware of the environmental and social impacts its operations have on local communities. It is committed to acting in accordance with internationally recognised environmental and social (E&S) standards, as well as practising effective E&S assessment and management in all its activities and investments .

In order to make sure its operations and projects leave a minimal footprint on local ecosystems whilst achieving maximum social benefits, NBT has a series of corporate policies in place that all its employees and contractors must abide by.

Wherever NBT goes, these polices translate to detailed measures and plans catering not only to local circumstances but also international standards, with top-tier experts and advisors hired to ensure implementation of these measures and plans.

In essence, NBT aims to power a green future for all.

Corporate E&S Policy

NBT’s overarching E&S policy describes the E&S management of initial project assessment, construction and operations, and rehabilitation through to decommissioning.

Major chapters of the E&S policy include corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy, assessment and screening of potential investments, stakeholder consultation and engagement, and E&S monitoring and reviews.

E&S Reports

NBT works with internationally reputable advisors to make sure its E&S policies and plans are strictly complied with by its employees and constructors.

Its E&S practices are well documented and made public where required.
