NBT owns 49% of the 100 MW Linxi wind farm in Inner Mongolia and 33% of the 49.5 MW Baicheng wind farm in the Jilin province. In addition, the company has a pipeline of projects and project opportunities in several provinces.


The Linxi I and Linxi II wind farms are located in Linxi county in Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region in China, and have a capacity of 50 MW each. Linxi I was commissioned in February 2011 while Linxi II had 20 turbines commissioned in June 2012 and the remaining 5 commissioned in November 2012. The project company is owned by NBT and its joint venture partner Datang. Under the joint venture agreement, NBT has a 49% shareholding in Linxi.

Phase I installed 25 units of Vestas V80-2.0MW WTGs, and phase II installed 25 units of Gamesa G87-2.0MW WTGs. Average wind speed in 2017 was 8.2 m/s with an on-grid production of 256.1 GWh.


The 49.5 MW Baicheng wind farm is located in the Jilin province in the central part of northeast China. NBT has a 33% shareholding in the Baicheng wind farm, and the majority owner is GanttCo China Power Limited. The Baicheng wind farm was commissioned in early 2011 and was the first non-recourse project financed wind farm in China. 

The wind farm has 33 1.5 MW turbines from Suzlon. Average wind speed in 2017 was 6.3 m/s with an on-grid production of 76.8 GWh.

Project pipeline/opportunities

NBT has a pipeline of approximately 1000 MW of wind power project opportunities in China, covering Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Shandong, Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces.
