ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (ESIA)
SYVASH WIND FARM – SYVASHENERGOPROM LLC

NBT AS through its subsidiary, SyvashEnergoProm LLC, is seeking financing from The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for construction of the Syvash wind farm. The project has passed concept review stage. The next step is to disclose the ESIA for 60 days on EBRDs and NBTs websites.

 

EBRD project description

The provision of a senior long-term loan of up to EUR 49 million to SyvashEnergoProm LLC (the “Borrower”) to finance the construction and operation of a wind farm with an initial capacity of 125 MW (phase one) and the potential to be expanded to 250 MW (phases one and two) located in Southern Ukraine (the “Project”). The Borrower is a special purpose company incorporated in the Ukraine and created to own, construct and operate the wind farm. The Borrower is owned by East Renewable Energy AB which is majority owned by NBT AS (the “Sponsor”).

 

The Project will help support the development of renewable energy in Ukraine and the overall decarbonisation of the energy sector.
